Time4Learning Review

Each year around this time, I begin to think through our home school curriculum and begin planning and researching for the next school year.

I ask several questions, like, What is working for us this year? and What changes do we need to make for next year?

I am looking more at on-line curriculum for next year. My children will be in 3rd, 5th, and 8th grades next year, and with our ever-increasing schedule I need some help! Keeping up with three different grade levels (lesson planning, grading, projects, gathering supplies, etc. in addition to all of my household and ministry responsibilities), has become overwhelming.

My researching led me to Time4Learning. I am considering this for my soon-to-be 3rd grader who is a visual learner (and who currently hates school, lol.).

I've been invited to try Time4Learning for one month in exchange for a candid review. My opinion will be entirely my own, so be sure to come back and read about my experience. Time4Learning can be used as a homeschool curriculum, for afterschool enrichment and for summer skill sharpening. Find out how to write your own curriculum review for Time4Learning.

I am thrilled to be able to "try out" this curriculum. I have some reservations, but I am anxious to see if my reservations are correct. I really hope this works for us!

I hope you will come back in one month to see what I have learned.

This is really great. My son goes to Easter Sunrise, which is a private home school. I love it there and my son does too!

My two boys love time4learning! I guess that's why 3+ years after pulling them out of "regular" school, it is one of the few things that we are still using since our first year!

I can't wait to hear what your family thought of it. Thanks for the wonderful blog!

Hey Debbi~ I thought that I would post to your questions here as well as on my site;) I think that T4L is a great supplemental curriculum, what we do is the boys do daily lessons usually 3 of each LA, LA Ext and Math. Then I look at how they did and decide if it is a concept that we need more practice in. Like for example~ my DS had trouble with fractions FOREVER! So I would go over the T4L lessons again with him everyday and then give him more word problems to help him get the idea across. We also did Life of Fred Fractions which he liked as well. And I do that with everything that they do, I use T4L to see which things we need more help in and just add more lessons when needed. After only one year of doing this, my youngest who was considered average in K (in public school)he scored 1-2 grades above his grade level in his end of the year testing. Feel free to email me any questions you might have;) T4L has been wonderful for us, especially my visual learner always happy to spread the word about what worked for us!
