Family Photos = Great Gifts! AND a Great Way to Display Them!!

I am always on the lookout for great gift ideas for my parents. I mean, they're in their 70's, have everything they need, don't want to add more clutter to their house...you know how it is. We usually end up giving them gift cards to some restaurant, but I really prefer to do something more personal. Well, this year, Christmas is in the bag...er, on the wall

Easy Canvas Prints has made my shopping truly EASY!

Pictures are always a big hit with my parents, but they already have sooo many. We've given them framed pictures, magnetic pictures, and even pictures made into puzzles. Blah, blah, blech!

I really wanted to avoid "the usual", so I am super glad to learn about Easy Canvas Prints, where I can make our photos into canvas.

Since we recently had some family photos taken by a professional photographer (who happens to be my bff--yay!), and since it is the first family picture we've had taken in about five years *gasp*, I decided to get one for us (um, you know, to be sure my parents will like theirs, lol). But...since my bff/photographer is SOOOO good, it was hard to choose a favorite picture for my photo to canvas.

Did I want this one?

 Or this one? (tee hee!)

Or what about this one?

In the end, we decided on this one:

Love!

The whole process of photo to canvas was so easy! I uploaded my picture, chose the thickness of the edge (.75" or 1.5") and the size of my photo to canvas. Then I decided the type of edge that I wanted (mirror, wrapped or a solid color). Here is a closeup of the edge we chose:

I went with the 3/4" mirrored edge, since important parts of my photo would have been cut off had I gone with the wrapped edge.

The ordering process took about 15 minutes to complete, and my order shipped lightening fast! I am so pleased with how it turned out, and I am SO glad we ordered one for us.

And, now for the reveal of our amazing photo to canvas!!

 Ta-Dah!

I.love.it.

I do plan to hang this on our Family Room wall...as soon as I find the perfect shelf for it. (I am envisioning an old ladder hung on its side...hmmm.) In the mean time, I am la-la-loving it on display here!!

Now for some Christmas shopping...
