Sweet Shot Tuesday

This is my son. You might be wondering just what it is that he's wearing on his head.

It is a Firefighter's helmet. You know, the kind they wear when they're going into a fire.

It used to be a yellow helmet.

 The firefighter was wearing this helmet when it turned from yellow to black.

How do I know? This helmet belongs to my big brother, Robert. Yes, I said belongs (not belonged, thank the Lord!), because miraculously, Robert is just fine.

Thanks to this helmet. And to God.

I'm very proud of my big brother, Robert, and of all of the firefighters in my family (six in total). And of firefighters all over the world. They are a brave lot of men and women. I thank God for them.

And I thank God for their helmets.

I have always loved Black-eyed Susans. They remind me of summer days, running barefoot, and playing for hours with my big brother.

Sweet Shot Tuesday

Today is Sweet Shot Day over at Life With My 3 Boybarians.  

 

I decided to post some funny pics I took at a fun day the local college hosted. My dh works there, and we took the kids over for a while. It was a lot of fun, and the pics make me smile. I hope they make you smile, too!

These were pictures I took of our rose bushes out front. They were full of gorgeous roses, and I just had to take some pics.
